  • Transfer and verification

    I carry out the agreed transfer, compare the results against the source and review exceptions. The source account is left intact until you confirm the outcome.

  • A transfer report

    You receive a record of what was transferred, how it was checked, any exceptions and relevant storage notes for both accounts.

Moving a photo library with its history.

What it takes to move years of photos and preserve their history where possible.

A business customer needed a photo and video library moved from a personal Google account into Google Workspace, with its original timeline and album organisation preserved where possible.

I exported the library, repaired date information where source metadata was available, and tested one album before completing the transfer. All 13 albums were rebuilt, and timeline checks covered material from 2015 through 2026. The original account was left intact so the client could review the destination before removing anything.

One file had no recoverable date information and was identified as an exception. Albums that had been shared previously needed to be shared again from the new account.

I work with transfers involving Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud and Google Photos. The specific source and destination determine the method, supported data and scope.

Will photo dates and albums be preserved?

We identify the details you need to retain and check them in the test transfer. What can be preserved or recreated depends on the accounts, platforms and method, and is confirmed before the full transfer.

Will you delete anything from my original account?

The transfer is planned around retaining the source while the destination is checked. Your source account is left intact until you confirm the result, and any later cleanup would need to be agreed with you.
