The situation
The client needed Google Workspace configured across four domains. One domain already had email in Zoho Mail, while the other three needed new setups. The work also needed to organise several role-based email addresses so they could be managed from each domain’s primary mailbox.
What the work involved
I configured the domains, mail routing and email authentication, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC. For the domain moving from Zoho, I migrated four mailboxes and consolidated their email into its primary mailbox. The other addresses were configured as aliases, with labels and filters to identify which address each message had been sent to.
For the three new setups, I configured primary mailboxes, aliases, labels and filters. One domain was still associated with a previous Google Workspace account. I arranged its release so the new configuration could proceed.
The result
All four domains were configured. For the migrated domain, the four former Zoho mailboxes were consolidated into its primary inbox. Each domain could be managed through its own primary mailbox, with aliases available for receiving and replying and labels to keep incoming messages organised.
The project brought together email setup, migration, authentication and inbox organisation, with a written handover explaining how the addresses now worked.
